Modelus A3 Report Templates

Modelus A3 Report Templates are a collection of standard A3 templates designed to help report authors apply A3 thinking. Guided by the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) process, the A3 report can become a powerful problem-solving and continuous-improvement tool in the organization.

What is the A3 report?

The A3 report is a two-page document that provides a structured way to identify and solve problems, propose and implement improvement initiatives, document and review progress of the changes.

Why is it called A3?

The term A3 refers to a size of paper defined by ISO 216.

Why do you need standard templates?

Templates are a great way to save time and improve report consistency. If you are new to A3 thinking, standard templates will help you learn the underlying process. If you are an A3 practitioner, they will provide you with the basis for evaluating A3 reports in your organization.

Do not focus on adherence of your reports to the standards. We do not know the best way of writing A3 reports. Treat the templates as rough guidelines, focus on your story line, and adapt the templates to your specific situation.
